In the end, it's all left for time to consume. All the work, stress, joy, sorrow, excitement, and every experience created will all fade away.
It has come to my attention that life is both meaningless and meaningful, both sides of a coin coexist with one another. On one side of the coin, everything to experience is either memorable or endurable. It's to say, some memories fills with joy, and others with unpleasantness to endure. After all, it comes a point in time before our death, that everything that's been done is about to fade away. Perhaps some linger among the memories of some, but at some point, it will all fade away.
My lineage goes as far back as my great-grandfather, and what I know of that time is less than a thousand words. The question then begs, what's the purpose of life then? This enigmatic question has scratched my brain for a decade and i've finally managed to end this chapter once and for all. The answer to this is rather simple, and it has two sides just like anything.
The meaning of life, lived in the life of others is given by others.
The meaning of life, lived in the life of self, is given by the self.
In other words, depending on which life one chooses to live, it then determines the meaning of that life. I whom pursue my own meaning, truth, and decide how I want to live my life, give my own life meaning depending on what I deem to be meaningful. It's all subjective to every individual, no meaning is the same as another.
It's to say, the greatest tree is a pine tree, it all depends on its condition and circumstances. A pine tree can grow well and strong in cold climate, but given a different condition like the desert its just a matter of time before it's gone in the dust. In the same way, each individual is built and brought up differently in the world, therefore, each one has their own meaning depending on their own limitations and creation. A person who cannot read, might deem the challenge to read one day to be the meaning of life. One who cannot walk might deem the challenge of walking to be the meaning of life. It all depends on the condition and person.
To my self, the meaning of life is to simply enjoy all the waves in life. The ups, the downs, the journey of life, how each journey, dream and pursuits in life unfolds. More importantly, learning how to dance to notes that deem to be unpleasant, and to those that finds pleasant.
I've rather approached life in a sense of having to achieve x,y,z and have to become a,b,c. As age matures, i've come to realize, those factors are just a direction in life, if I deem those aspects to be so important, I would naturally pursue them without even thinking about it. But, the fact that I am thinking and planning these things out, it means it's just me trying to draw, instead of just drawing. The difference is subtle, but yet, greatly different.
Take care friends,
