From time to time, I find my self stuck in a loop of thought. Wondering why I didnt say this, or why someone could do this or that. Almost as if a record just starting playing one note instead of the other notes that exist on the record, and all together creates the music that it intended to do.

The Broken Re-cord

I'd like to call this a broken re-cord, a cord thats being re-played over and over again. If the DJ (me) is ignorant of the fact that the record is broken, and keep playing it hoping it will yield some kind of symphony, that's the definition of crazy. As such, thinking in this manner is repeating questions after questions without actually changing anything. The only thing that will yield in some sort of factual change is "action."

thinking feels like using outdated technology in a modern world—an inefficient processor trying to handle a demanding task. It's held me back for too long, making me question why I'm still clinging to it. What's the purpose? I know where this path leads, yet I keep going.

So, I ask myself, what's the alternative? If dwelling on the unchangeable past brings only regret, and I can't rewrite history, what can I do differently? Then it hits me—why not focus on the future instead? What if I envision the future I want to create, where I aspire to be?

A light bulb moment occurs. I've spent so much energy fixating on the past, but by shifting my focus to the future, I can affect change in the present, leading to a different future.

This change in perspective feels liberating. With my attention on the future, I'm no longer burdened by past events. I no longer yearn for different outcomes or dwell on what could have been. Instead, I see past memories as valuable lessons, extracting wisdom from them to shape my present actions. It's like wielding the power to influence the past through my choices in the present.

Until next time, cheers to a future focused on growth and positivity!
